#17 [Flying Bison]

This post is more a study. I am planning to buy the cooperation of Smallson and convince him to jump for me, but first I need to be sure about the location of the flashes and camera and also get some training before I would get him on the picture.

As Smallson is already sleeping, I have asked my dear friend Bison to help me.

I have set two flash guns at 45 degrees on each side, to the front of Bison, and the camera right on his side (90o). Both flashes at 1/32 of power. Because Bison can't show you he is a real creature (its a secret among us), I thought I would need to give some context to the composition, not just  a boring white background. I put the camera down so he would have a background, although not perfect, a background. I should have put some grass over the couch...

It was fun to try...

First, Bison started to jump in front of a plain white wall, oh not good

Upps too early! Good shadow though!

Ah, too high!

No, not falling like a dead piece of meat!

And the final product...

Conclusion: as long as you are laughing, the trial is valid, and I had lots of laugh with this experiment!

  2. Simone, can I fly you over for the day, to help with my product shots? I am doing them with a tiny little cannon and a whole lot of artificial lighting. Aaaaaaaaagh! Love the bison pictures, they made me giggle.
