#20 [True Colors]
The other day a good friend asked my why do I blog. Why do I need to show other people what I do, what do I bother showing a bunch of pictures that anyone with a bit better camera can also show. In other words: why does someone that has no (special) talent bother to write down if nobody is interested on it.
I though for a minute and did not give attention by then, but I made a note of it and decided to get back to the subject. Now, three months from the start of my “doktersil treasure pages”, I decided to get back to it.
Why do I blog?
• Because I like it.
• Because is a wonderful way to organize my ideas, make space for another ideas and be creative.
• Because everybody has something to share: specially the people who read and leave comments after. Thank you!
• Because reviewing my own pictures and analyzing them is a great way to learn
• Because I enjoy getting back when I am looking for motivation
• Because it’s a great way to empty my head when I had a difficult day behind me
• Because is something different I do and that is good for my brains
• Because I love myself and because of that I do what I want (if it doesn’t harm anyone else).
• Because I LOVE it!
The same friend has also asked me why do I blog in English. If you have not yet noticed, I will tell you a secret: English is not my mother language. And by this time on my life, I really doubt I have a mother language. I think I don’t have it any more. I am unable to write in Portuguese or in Dutch or in English, but English is the only language that (almost) all people I consider important can read.
Thanks the skies this blog is about images, thanks to this friend that made me reflect about this subject, and thank you for reading this post.
I was looking into my library for a picture that would represent this subject and I found this beautiful, simple, plain spring sunset. The color combination is so fantastic that I wouldn't need anything else on the composition. Just the colors are enough. For me.
