With the eyes pretty open
It's not every day you find Brazilian matchboxes painted on the ceiling of Dutch cafes, honestly.
But even more funny is someone that walks around looking at the ceiling of Dutch cafes.
It is part of my exercises: to walk around looking up instead of down.
And you can find surprises like this.
I don't remember the name of the place any more in Den Haag, but I found it very creative and I almost started to cry with a subtle homesickness attack.
I believe the guy did those matches on the ceiling because Nassau invaded Brazil a couple of years ago and it was his way to put the cafe into the Mauritshuis museum context. No, no, kidding: I have no clue and the girl behind the counter either.
But remember: a picture doesn't need to be necessarily absolutely technically good. A picture must document something that can bring you a golf of emotion when you look at it later on. Like those matchbox labels did... I remember myself lighting paper balloons during St. John's party!
