Color pop
It was a sunny day at Frogland and we can't miss sunny days: it is forbidden. We MUST enjoy them. So, we biked. Twenty kilometers.
We have been to Ijmuiden to see the lock (for my Brazilian friends the "eclusa") and luckily we saw one of the new pieces of the Coentunnel being transported from Barendrecht through the North See and going to Amsterdam. A piece of 180 meters. It fits into the lock :O. Amazing! And when I asked Mr M. if it would be the bottom (or the ceiling) of the tunnel he answered me the tunnel was submerged and being transported UNDER water. Oh my dear. Astonishing.
Despite of the strange prison appearance all those people were just watching the lazy entrance of the tunnel into the lock. And because I am not a very tall person, I need to be creative on my perspective of the world.
And here you see THE TOP of the tunnel. The rest is under water. On the foreground the old sea wolf. No, it is not. Just one of the byproducts of my lack of length.
See? Even orphan legs enjoy the sun.
On the way back from Ijmuiden, we found the entry for the Kennemerduinen park, which runs through the coast from North to South of North Holland. We did not know that entrance at Ijmuiden and we decided to bike back home by this way and somewhere find the connection that leads to "our" part of the park.
What a beautiful place! Silent.... for some reason I am not completely aware of, there was just a few people at that part of the park. This is the same park we go to walk often and often, but this part is a bit different, with more higher lands (I don't dare to say "Mountains").
I enjoyed a lot!
Photography tip: on the treatment of the pictures I used a Lightroom preset called "Color Pop" from "Pretty Presets'. It gives a fancy touch to the images. I am not sure if I like it but it is for sure different of everything I have been using until now. Those pre-sets can be bought at specific sites and there are some sites where you can download them for free. This one works quite heavly on the "recover" setting and also changes the tones of the highlights, but there are many many many presets around. I like them because they give the images a new breath. Almost like going to IKEA to buy new fancy bits to your house.
