New look and old assignments

_MG_7033-Edit.jpg

Two posts in one. I feel like talking....

Old assignments still rock

And while looking around, I stumbled across a picture the great Lily posted on her Facebook wall. An image I made on June 2007, for the magazine "Sem Fronteiras".

I first saw the picture and I was really asking myself if I had forgotten to edit the image before giving it to her. It was dark... Then I came back to my old collection on Lightroom and found the original files. That image made me perceive the gap between the Simone, photographer 2007 and Simone now. It is a leap... I wonder where I will be within 10 years. In de MoMa in NY.. lol...

Things I would improve are the yellow background (could be less yellow) and the lighting was very poor. I didn't have a good strobe, so I used construction lamps :) Not bad... not bad... But nobody convinces me that her clothes were white.

What I wouldn't change? The model. She was perfect and patient with my insecurity: it was my first portrait session, not counting husby and kids. I wouldn't wish a better model! Beautiful and with such a charisma that only Lily has... Lily, the gorgeous!

Time for a new look

Tonight was my first free evening since I came back from holidays: no assignments to deliver, no work to do, just do something I like. And guess what I did? Surfed...

I was looking at the websites on Sitehouse, dreaming with the day I will have a site like that (let me add it to my wishlist).

Back to blogger I saw some new flash-based sites. Lets give it a try.... I am an "itsy pitsy bit" against Flash on websites: I am an IJobs woman, who is ISad. But I tested on the IPad and it works fine.

Now the new style is applied and I will keep enjoying this free evening: finishing to watch Blade Runner!

And write the blog...

And do other 202 things.

It is a free evening right?
