Yesterday I was playing with the Canon IXUS 85. I was trying to install a piece of software on it which would allow me to extract the RAW files from the camera in place of the normal, low quality, JPG files. I had a true hope I could do that and have some more quality on the macro images.
As I have discovered after one hour playing, is that it is not YET possible do have raw files. Let's wait until some kind developer (shall I try it myself?) does the job.
My motivation to improve the quality of the IXUS image was the "mushrooms day" we attended last Sunday afternoon. I was quite frustrated. Not that I don't like the images, I like them, but I was imagining myself getting big sized mushrooms through my lenses, and not these distant mushrooms. And they are so beautiful and have a very interesting texture.
The mushroom on the right, is deadly poison, as said by our guide. The one on the left it's not poisoning but also not tasty ...
Two different species on this picture. I don't remember the name...
This one looks artificial, a kind of Lego table, but it is a real mushroom. How I wish I would have a
macro!
Those are also nice... very nice aligned on the wood stick.
I know what I am going to do. It always works! I will cut a picture of my future lens, glue on a piece of paper and put it on my side table. On my wish list!
