#14 [Fire]

Based on the de-mentoring facts of yesterday, I decided to make a list of things that suck my creativity and hang on the fridge. Just to look at them and accept them, acknowledge them and let them go.

I was absolutely resolved: this list is going to resolve this specific problem. I stepped into the train and took my place. Opened my bag and fetched the book I bought during Christmas and was in the top of the pile to be read: "Thinkertoys" from Michael Michalko.

For my absolute delight he says on the preface:

"We do not choose to be born. We don not choose our parents. We do not choose our history epoch, or the country of our birth, or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. We do not, most of us, choose to die. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we shall live: with purpose or adrift, with joy or joylessness, with hope or despair, with humor or sadness, with a positive outlook or a negative outlook, with pride or with shame, with inspiration or with defeat, with honor or with dishonor."

A balm...

About the picture: I took it today at the train station in the evening. This is one of those heat generators that stand on the platform. I took it with a very slow shutter speed (2 seconds) panning from down up, very slowly, knowing what I wanted to produce, not adrift.
