Tropical [rain] forest
This is a happy boy. He is riding in a Jeep, in the middle of a forest. A tropical, rain (really really rainy) forest.
This is the parking place at Tijuca Forest National Park. In the 35 years I have been living at this city, I have never seen this place so empty. The only car in the parking space is ours.
Taunay waterfall. For our eyes only. It was so empty that I was scared of the monkeys and leopards and elephants.
No, no. No elephants in here.
Mayrink chapel. The woman on a fur coat is mothers. Winter coat. Snow coat. I am not kidding. It was 15o Celsius. IN RIO.
If I haven't cropped this one, I could play on trick. But I cropped. They are fake, like the breasts and buttocks of 98% of the Brazilian women.
And here a challenge: how to fix up this image without ANY software? I managed to play tricks but I don't have layers on the IPad. No chance to fix it here. I will do it at home, but... The geography of this place is magic.
Mountains are magic. And they are not fake.

Wonderful place! Unfortunately, the only programm I didn't get to do with Liam (he loved Jardim Botânico, went there twice and wanted to go again).
ReplyDeleteIt was a busy holiday in Rio and I left Floresta da Tijuca for the last weekend...when it rained! I learned my lesson, next time it will be the first programme on the very first week.
(I hope the weather is getting better).
